Angie McInvale, a native of Alabama.  Graduated with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo in 1997, and has since obtained a Masters in ministry from SEBIME, a seminary in Mexico, and is soon to finish a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Lee University.  Right after graduating in 1997, Angie went to Honduras as a volunteer in a semi-private orphanage.  It was there where she witnessed many injustices and abuse to children who had already come from a life of suffering.  After several months as a volunteer, the Lord placed the desire to build a true Christian home for children, a refuge to the abused, abandoned and orphaned.  In September of 2000, the doors of Hogar Esperanza/Hope House were opened to the first two children.  Since then, it has served as a safe-haven to many children in need.

The children of Hogar Esperanza/Hope House are not only receiving food, clothing and shelter, but the love, affection, guidance, and discipleship they have never had the opportunity to experience before.  All though the home operates by faith, They are being trained to not wait with their hand stretched out to receive, but to stretch that same hand out to give.  The home is the base for other social and evangelistic outreaches and the children are active participants in them.  They know what it is to live by faith, but are learning what it is to give in faith as well.  It is amazing to see how the Lord has used these small lives to impact others and the miracles witnessed as a result.  

Currently, Hogar Esperanza/ Hope House consists of two houses, one for girls and the other for boys, and an administrative building which are all at capacity with eighteen children.  There is very limited space for expansion, but the vision is to be able to attend to up to 100 children.
By faith, the search for ten acres of land is in process.  This property will consist of various houses for children, a school, vocational workshops, gardens and recreational areas.  The vision is big, but we serve a BIGGER God.  He has given this vision and He will fulfill it.  To Him be all the glory!
