Cornerstone Ranch began as a dream--a dream to one day impact the world by investing in the lives of young people. Over ten years ago, three young men--Rusty Rouse, Josh Nation, and Jake Chemell--felt compelled by GOD to find a place where the young could have the opportunity to be in an environment in which they could come face to face with the Creator of the universe and experience a personal relationship with Him. They wanted to give these young people the opportunity to succeed in life by experiencing things many of us take for granted.
More recently, Jimmie Nation, Josh's father, became part of the vision. Because of his belief in the dream, he contributed in making the dream become a reality. Persistently, he labored to secure the Dupont property. Many people were skeptical about pursuing that particular piece of land, claiming the property could not be acquired. Twenty-five years after the plant shut down, many had tried to purchase the land for different developments. GOD, however, had a different plan for the use of the land. Because of the faith and determination of these four men, the dream became a reality just over a year ago. The group was blessed with 1200 acres, just ten minutes north of Birmingham, Alabama. This is now known as Conerstone Ranch.
