One of the responsibilities of spiritual fathers and mothers is to provide an adequate environment for their children to grow. We like to call this environment a "hot house." It is not like the hot houses or greenhouses we grew up knowing. During the winter, plants can grow inside the greenhouse because they are in a "hot house" not exposed to the cold weather. We, as parents, should burn. We should be on fire for Jesus.
The Word should not be only what we teach, but what we live. For us, praying is not occasional; it is continual. Our children, both natural and spiritual, need us. They are looking for examples. The best way to have children that are "hot," on fire for Jesus, is to put them around other people burning for Jesus.
Revelation 3:16: "So because you are lukewarm—neither hot or cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Let’s build a "hot house" at Abundant Life.
